What is a Hero

Definition:    hero (hir'o, he'ro)
  1. Any person admired for qualities or achievements and regarded as an ideal or model
  2. The central figure in any important event or period, honored for outstanding qualities
What is a Way Back Inn HERO?

Well, we've defined a "HERO" as a person who is willing to help a family they don't know just to help them achieve their goals and be successful in the community. As a "HERO" you get active, engaged and ask your friends, family and co workers to help you stop homelessness in the South King County area of Seattle.

So why should I do it?
  1. ) When we actively help our communities it makes them a better place
  2. ) Realizing that you can be a "HERO" is rewarding to you and those around you
  3. ) Knowing that you have helped a family succeed goes further than can ever be imagined
Ok, so what do I do now?
  1. ) Look over our volunteer listings and decide where you fit, if you don't see what you like just let us know and we will let you know of any additional opportunities available.
  2. ) Complete the attached volunteer application and be sure to send your resume
  3. ) Our program manager will contact you by phone or email within 72 hours
That's it you are on your way to being a "HERO"!
